Community Engagement Officer – Venues & Events

Our community hubs and venues are more than buildings. They are places where people come together to connect, celebrate, learn, access support, discover local stories, and feel part of the Rangitīkei community.

We are looking for a friendly, organised, and practical person to join Rangitīkei District Council as our Community Engagement Officer – Venues and Events. This role supports events, venue bookings, community hub services, visitor centre activities, and customer service at Te Matapihi.

This is a hands‑on, community-facing role where no two days will be quite the same. You might be helping a group prepare for a local event, supporting a meeting with AV equipment, setting up a hall, welcoming visitors, processing bookings, answering customer enquiries, or helping someone connect with Council services and community information.
