Component Engineer and Technical Library Specialist

Overview

Nextpower is looking for a Senior Component Engineer & Library Specialist to lead electrical component selection, approval, and library governance across our product lines. This role owns the electrical component approval lifecycle in ECAD and PLM, ensuring selected parts meet technical, reliability, certification, manufacturability, supply chain, lifecycle, and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation, selection, qualification, and approval of electrical and electronic components.
• Act as gatekeeper for new component introduction and approval in ECAD/PLM workflows.
• Ensure selected parts meet design specifications, reliability, safety, regulatory, manufacturability, supply availability, and cost targets.
• Review component requests from electrical, power electronics, and PCB design teams.
• Promote reuse of approved components and reduce unnecessary part proliferation.
