Custodial Worker

Summary This position is located on United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Plains Area (PA), National Bio and Ago-Defense Facility (NBAF), in Manhattan, KS. In this position, you will serve in the Custodial Services Group and will be responsible for performing the full range of custodial duties. Responsibilities Cleans offices, corridors, stairways, fairways, cafeteria and other areas. Sweeps, dry mops, wet mops, scrubs, strips, waxes and polishes floors using brooms, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and buffers. Adjusts, cleans, oils, changes brushes, rollers, buffers, and other attachments on cleaning machines. Removes stains from a variety of surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, floors, and fixtures by use of chemicals and cleaning solutions. Moves furniture, boxes, cabinets, crates and equipment to clean areas. Cleans and sets up chair arrangements in conference rooms and auditorium. Empties waste baskets. Keeps rest rooms/lavatories c...
