Apprentice Welder – Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Leduc, Alberta.

Essential Responsibilities

• Read and follow directions in given layouts, blueprints, and work orders
• Weld parts and may also build up worn parts by welding layers of high‑strength hard‑metal alloys onto them
• Assist in preparing parts to be welded, which may include cutting, punching, drilling, and bending of material
• Use and operate the welding equipment to fabricate and customize products
• Operate flame‑cutting equipment
• Perform general welder helper duties such as grinding, buffing, and weld set‑up

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Alberta apprentice
• Previous experience working on mobile construction or road maintenance equipment (loaders, graders, etc.) is considered an asset
• Must be able to pass CWB
• Successful completion of pre‑access drug and alcohol testing
