Responsibilities Collect data to identify areas for improvement within an organization’s IT infrastructure 
Develop and maintain computer databases 
Enact measures to make sure unauthorized users cannot access the data 
Test data models and database management systems 
Design and develop database 
Operate database management systems to analyze data
