Position Overview

Role Overview
To efficiently and effectively perform duties within the Development Engineering Section of Council with a focus on providing timely and high-quality input into the assessment of development permits (operational works), delivery of high-quality expert development engineering advice to internal and external stakeholders and the general public and to undertake regular onsite inspections of development works to ensure compliance with required standards.

Essential Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualifications with up to 5 years’ experience in development engineering or a similar role.

Experience aligned to development assessment in a Local Government environment or a similar role with a focus on the design, layout and construction of road and drainage, parking, driveway and access areas, stormwater drainage and flooding, earthworks and infrastructure.
