Position Overview
**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
As our Director Nursing Labor and Delivery Services at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, you will direct the operations of our Family Birth Center, comprised of L&D, Postpartum, NICU, Peds, and Infant Development Clinic. We have 11 private rooms in L&D, 14 private rooms in Postpartum, and a brand new 40 bed NICU. We average 150 deliveries each month and our ADC in the NICU is 20. To help support you as the Director, we have a Nurse Manager L&D and Postpartum, a Nurse Manager NICU, a Perinatal Safety Specialist, a L&D Educator, and a NICU Educator.
Every day, you will work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with your front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies.
