Emergency Medicine Locum Coverage

North Island Hospital Comox Valley is seeking a locum covering Emergency Medicine. We welcome either CCFP-EM or FRCPC Emergency certification.

North Island Hospital Comox Valley is a 24‑hour Emergency Department with 153 inpatient beds, serving approximately 66,000 people and over 31,000 visits annually. The department includes a Rapid Access and Discharge Unit (RADU) run by Emergency Department physicians; successful applicants would be expected to work RADU shifts.

We are a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of British Columbia, with a Family Practice Residency Program and active involvement in medical student and residency teaching.

Additional remuneration may be available through the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA) with a fee premium of 6.93%.
