Position Summary:
The General Fabricator #1 position is knowledgeable in a variety of tasks associated with fabrication, including but not limited to: Saws, Drill Press, Apex, Tap arms, Routers, manual and hydraulic bearing presses.
Major Responsibilities:
Routine maintenance of equipment. Includes the ability to change punch and die, monitor equipment for proper function including calibration, and removal of debris.Competent use of hand, bench, and light machine operations to perform tapping, deburring, filing, grinding and polishing on sawed and machined parts.Understanding of and ability to utilize micrometers.Use of scribe, tape measure, square, protractor, punch, and measuring devices to accurately transfer information from blueprints to the work piece.Utilization of overhead cranes and fork trucks to receive raw bar stock steel.
