Job Specification: Finance Assistant (In-House)

Location: County Kerry (Practice-Based) | Type: Full-Time, Permanent | Reports to: Financial Controller

Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our Kerry practice. This vital in-house role manages day-to-day financial operations, ensuring ledger accuracy, timely payments, and month-end support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll: Process weekly/monthly payroll; manage Revenue compliance, pensions, and holiday pay; handle staff queries.
  • Creditors: Record/code supplier invoices; reconcile statements; prepare payment runs for approval.
  • Debtors: Issue client invoices; conduct proactive credit control on aged debtors; process incoming payments.
  • Reconciliations: Perform daily bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations; maintain nominal ledger accuracy.
