Position Overview

The Financial Accounting Specialist is responsible for accurately and timely recording financial transactions in the General Ledger, maintaining the integrity of accounting records, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end closing and financial reporting in compliance with IFRS, SOCPA requirements, and company policies. Responsibilities: Record and post manual and system-generated journal entries in SAP. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper supporting documentation for accounting entries. Prepare accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjusting entries. Maintain proper mapping of transactions to GL accounts and cost centers. Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts. Reconcile bank, AR/AP control, inventory, payroll, and intercompany accounts. Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences on a timely basis.
