Fitter

Our client in the Manufacturing Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Fitter to their team in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements Matric / Grade 12 (minimum). Qualified Artisan (N5) - Trade Test. Trade - Fitter Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment. Must have a sound knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment. A good understanding of quality requirements in a manufacturing environment. Must be available to work swing shifts. Availability every Sunday is mandatory. Responsibilities Daily planned and preventative maintenance routines. Communication with supervisors/production to arrange preventative maintenance time. Arranging for parts to be available timeously to carry out preventative maintenance routines. Diagnose root cause of equipment failure. Plan action to remove cause of failure. Report on action taken and record downtime. Availability to assist with production requests. Communicate with production on planning changes to production runs...
