Summary Description
Under general supervision, manages the day-to-day operations of the routing team, and the entire routing process. Provides leadership and vision for routing unit. Takes responsibility for overall team and individual team member performance. Supervises routing staff and assigns / balances work of the regional teams and the transportation route and program specialist. Manages rotation of leaves, hours, etc. and coordinates all routers scheduling to ensure appropriate routing staff availability. Represents the department at meetings. Develops short and long-range plans to meet current and future needs of all programs while making the best use of available resources. Provides resource projections for proposed program changes. Resolves difficult routing issues and conflicts. Determines when contracted transportation services are necessary to meet student and program needs.
