Position Overview

RMS Recruitment are looking for a reliable and hardworking Garden Grounds Worker to work for our client based in Shildon.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8AM until 4PM, the salary is £13.54 per hour. This is an ongoing temporary role for approx. 3 months


Overtime and weekend work is available and we encourage candidates to be flexible for this.


Key Responsibilities:

  • General upkeep of gardens and grounds (mowing, weeding, pruning, planting)

  • Use and maintenance of tools and small machinery (lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers)

  • Ensuring all areas are kept clean, safe, and presentable

    • What We’re Looking For:

  • Full driving licence (essential)

  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, gardening, or similar outdoor work (preferred but not essential)

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good physical fitness and a positive, can-do attitude
