GIS & Data Support Technician

Job Summary

: The GIS & Data Support Technician supports the Department of Community Development by collecting, managing, analyzing, and maintaining datasets related to housing, structures, and broader community development activities. This position assists with the professional maintenance, continuity, and ongoing development of the County’s Geographic Information System (GIS), including data analysis, computer-aided cartographic mapping, Next Generation 911 (NG911) addressing, and integration with permitting software and other related systems.

Serving as a key support role within the department, the technician helps ensure that accurate and accessible data is available to inform departmental operations and long-term planning efforts. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of GIS and a strong interest in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support strategic community development and planning initiatives across the County.
