Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a GIS Field Technician role for one of our large engineering clients. Position job will be a great first step into electric distribution and will provide a valuable foundation for a career in the power delivery industry. Please see some of the job responsibilities below
- Work as member of Joint USE/Fiber Make Ready Team to do in-field GIS data collection and make education in-field design suggestions based on field data.
- Work environment will be 80% - 90% in-field.
- This individual will use a hasting stick to measure Joint Use attachment heights & utility-owned distribution lines/attachments.
- Field data will be collected using Leidos proprietary software to update utilities GIS and make design determinations.
- Travel typically will be limited to specific client region where candidate is located (Norfolk, VA and Surrounding Areas) but will occasionally require travel to other regions throughout Virginia with multiple...
