Summary

Esk’etemc is a First Nations community located in central BC. The administrative office of Esk’etemc is located on IR#1 (Esk’et), about 50 kms south of Williams Lake, BC on the east side of the Fraser River at Alkali Lake. Since 1994, Esk’etemc has been in the 6-stage BC treaty process, and is currently at Stage 4 (Agreement-in-Principle).

Esk’etemc is seeking a part‑time GIS technician to help provide technical support to Ecotrust Canada in building a Geographic Information System Unit to integrate lands and resources inventory information that can be used for treaty negotiations and other governance‑related decision‑making processes.
