About the Role

Sierra Space is seeking a Guidance, Navigation & Controls Engineer III to lead the design, development, and validation of advanced GNC systems for spacecraft applications. The role focuses on creating closed‑loop integrated GNC and FDIR subsystems, developing high‑fidelity models for sensors and actuators, performing Monte Carlo simulations, and ensuring robust system performance through stability analyses. The incumbent will own multiple GNC modes, integrate requirements into algorithm designs, maintain design standards, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement closed‑loop integrated systems for GNC and FDIR subsystems.
• Develop high‑fidelity models for GNC sensors and actuators such as IMUs, GPS, LIDAR, and Air Data Systems.
