HGV Driver

We are currently seeking dedicated HGV Drivers to join the team at Opus People Solutions representing our esteemed client, Coventry City Council.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with guidelines outlined in the Driver handbook/MORR Code and Highway Code.
• Drive and operate HGV vehicles for waste collection around Coventry City.
• Adhere strictly to driving and reversing procedures as per standard training protocols.
• Be responsible for a crew collecting commercial waste and domestic waste.
• Collect bulky items and perform day‑to‑day driving duties.
• Execute household door‑to‑door collections, commercial waste collections, street cleaning and associated functions.
• Collect recycling, garden waste, food waste, domestic refuse and perform multi‑occupancy property and new development collections.
