The county has a population of approximately 100,000 and is a progressive city that has embraced the new South while maintaining the southern charm and values of the past. Only an hour and a half to white sand beaches on the Florida Gulf coast and a short drive to the state's capital, Montgomery or just three hours to Atlanta or Birmingham.

*Candidates should be Internal Medicine residency trained physicians
*Blocked schedule 7on/7off
*12-hour shifts (7a-7p)
*No call required
*24-hour subspecialty support available for all specialties including presence of an in-house Radiology physician 24/7
*24/7 Pulm/Critical Care support for all CC admissions
