Hospitalist

Overview

Ridge Meadows Hospital (RMH) is seeking qualified physicians to join our well-established and very busy Hospitalist program in a permanent (full time/part time) capacity. Applicants should have a strong interest in developing a permanent acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter‑professional team, including medical staff, Nurse Practitioners, and Allied Health staff.

Responsibilities

• Admission and management of unattached patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP)
• Supportive care for some surgical and specialty medical patients
• Utilize the range of hospital and community resources available in the local institution and collaborate with specialists and community-based physicians to optimize patient care and discharge planning
• Participate in quality improvement projects, committees, academic excellence activities, and other clinical and non-clinical initiatives
