Industrial Machinist

Job Summary

The Industrial Machinist maintains, services, and modifies all machinery in the plant.

Job Tasks

• Operate and maintain machines such as conventional milling machines, lathe, drill press, etc.
• Communicate planned activities and commitments daily at department board meetings.
• Review daily Work Order assignments: plan, organize, execute, and document scheduled work.
• Document all activities completed for equipment and building assets in the Work Order system.
• Review drawings, blueprints, and/or samples to ensure accuracy during the fabrication process.
• Maintain assigned tools and instruments in good working order.
• Review the condition of assigned equipment on a daily and weekly basis.
• Perform standby duties as scheduled.
• Perform repairs to the machinery as required.
