Our client is looking to hire an Interim Controller on a 6-month contract basis.
About the Opportunity
- Build and stabilize the accounting function post-acquisition
- Design the chart of accounts and core finance processes from scratch
- Help evaluate, select, and implement the accounting system
- Manage monthly accounting activities in a high-volume e-commerce environment
- Own monthly close and quarterly SEC financial reporting
- Manage AP/AR across a high-volume Shopify-based e-commerce model (small ticket, high transaction count)
- Partner on integrating additional acquisitions into the financial infrastructure
- Collaborate on broader tech stack design (CRM, sales/marketing, KPIs, accounting)
- 7-10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- Prior startup or ground-up build experience - comfortable in unstructured environments
