Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Position Overview
**Job Description:**
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members.
We have a 19 bed unit with 14 Labor rooms (including 2 simply birth suites), 5 Antepartum rooms and 2 OR suites with an adjacent Neonatal resuscitation room. We average about 240 births a month. We have 24 hour Labor Hospitalist and Labor Anesthesiologist coverage. As the regional hospital with a level III NICU we take transports from the surrounding areas and staff High Risk OB Life Flight 24 hours to facilitate those transports.
