Major/Essential Functions
Collaborates with faculty and senior lead advisors in the conceptualization, design, implementation, evaluation, and grading of pharmacy practice laboratory courses and academic courses for TTUHSC pharmacy students.Serves as a member of teaching teams for pharmacy practice courses as assigned by the Department Chair. Anticipated course involvement includes Applied Patient Care (community pharmacy practice, dispensing, and communication skills), Parenterals (sterile IV preparation), Patient Assessment (physical assessment), Immunizations, and Non-sterile Compounding laboratory courses.Provides instruction, skills-based training, and assessment of student performance in assigned laboratory and simulation activities.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, including prescription processing, pharmacy law, immunization practices, community-based patient care, sterile and non-sterile product pr...
