Lead Electrical Engineer Renewable Energy Projects
Location: Cape Town, South Africa This role is suited to a technically strong professional who thrives on ownership, governance, and delivering complex projects from development through to commissioning and handover. Duties and Responsibilities: - Take full technical ownership of electrical engineering and grid integration across multiple renewable energy projects
- Lead design reviews covering substations, MV/HV infrastructure, protection systems, and plant controls
- Oversee external consultants and owners Engineers to ensure quality and compliance across all deliverables
- Ensure that projects meet grid code requirements, engineering standards, and performance objectives
- Provide technical leadership during construction, commissioning, and energisation phases
