Lead Mechanical Engineer (REMOTE)

Job Description Summary The Services Instrumentation and Controls C10 / C35.6 mechanical engineer is responsible for designing , developing, and testing Instrumentation and Control (I&C) equipment that control safety critical functions for the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. Their specific focus is on mechanical components which hold electronic equipment and the interconnecting cables. This role requires technical problem solving, requirements management, and effective communication/collaboration with other teams and engineering disciplines.
Demonstrate accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy of assigned tasks.
Develop / modify mechanical designs to hold electronic components while meeting all requirements for installations in Nuclear power plants.
Confirm designs meet requirements through analysis and testing.
Engage customers to define scope, review results, and discuss technical risks.
