Position Overview
The successful candidate
will demonstrate an ability to work with students with a variety of learning diversities. Through working alongside the Learning Strategies Coordinator, learning strategies and classroom teachers, Educational Assistants play an important role in the implementation of IEPs (Individual Education Plans) by performing a variety of functions to support our diverse learners, including working one-to-one with students in the classroom. Qualifications Diploma of Educational Assistant with Special Education training Two years of working in Special Education preferred Experience and/or qualifications in working with children with hearing impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a range of neuro-diversities British Columbia Teachers' certification is an asset Independent School experience is an asset Knowledge, Skills and Experience Knowledge of British Columbia Curriculum and pedagogy Knowledge of the current research on girls and learning, develo...
