Under the direction of the Outpatient Department Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to oncology patients in an ambulatory care setting.Outpatient Oncology Clinics:
The LPN integrates and applies knowledge of cancer pathophysiology, disease progression, and symptom management to assess patients and evaluate the effectiveness of evidence-based care, best practices, and clinical interventions. The LPN works collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with professional nursing standards. Care is delivered within outpatient clinics through direct patient care and virtual services, as required, ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and comprehensive support throughout their cancer journey.
