Lifting Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review lifting plans and lifting method statements for routine and critical lifts
• Calculate crane capacities, load weights, load distribution, and lifting configurations
• Select appropriate lifting equipment, cranes, and rigging gear based on operational requirements
• Ensure all lifting operations comply with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company procedures
• Conduct site inspections to assess lifting conditions, ground bearing capacity, and potential hazards
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, crane operators, riggers, and safety personnel before and during lifting activities
• Verify that lifting equipment and accessories have valid inspection and certification records
• Provide technical guidance during complex and critical lifting operations
• Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and pre-lift meetings
