About the Role The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads the manufacturing engineering team at Leggett & Platt, driving manufacturing excellence, safety assurance, and process improvement across all operations.
Responsibilities
Lead a safety‑first approach and maintain a zero‑accident culture, ensuring compliance with work, accident prevention, and environmental protection regulations.
Develop and manage the Manufacturing Engineering budget, monitor process output quality and quantity, and take corrective actions to prevent scrap.
Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) in new product development, and design new manufacturing processes and equipment specifications.
Prepare, review, and submit manufacturing input for the quote cycle to align with capabilities and market competitiveness.
