Position Overview

Job Description

  • Contribute to worldwide industrialization programs by ensuring quality and robustness of machine concepts and mechanical designs
  • Provide expert consulting to internal teams and customers within the group's area of expertise
  • Define and approve system-level and line-level mechanical architectures
  • Lead critical design reviews, identify technical risks, and define mitigation measures
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments (project, purchasing, electrical, process) and external suppliers to transfer mechanical information
  • Perform nonstandard machine mechanical design, 3D/2D drawings, and BOM creation as needed
  • Support machine assembly, commissioning, ramp-up, and problem solving for complex or critical projects
  • Establish and continuously improve mechanical design standards, methods, and best practices
