Position Overview
Mechanical Fitters - Contract
Location: Abingdon (On-Site)
Rate: £24/hour (Umbrella PAYE)
Duration: Until June 2027
We're recruiting Mechanical Fitters for a long-term contract at a busy industrial site in Abingdon.
Duties
Assembly and preparation of mechanical components
Maintenance, modification, and installation work
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Supporting wider engineering teams to deliver projects
Working to high standards of safety and quality
Requirements
Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience in industrial/mechanical environments
Strong teamwork and communication skillsDesirable: Vacuum systems or cooling systems knowledge
Full-time on site
BPSS clearance required (clearance can be obtained prior to start)CV Deadline: 26th May - 12pm
