Position Overview

**PURPOSE:**
The Medical Management Coordinator will be part of the care management team that support the Maryland Medicaid line of business. This position supports the clinical teams by handling non-clinical tasks related to preauthorization functions, inpatient care, utilization review, care coordination and/or quality of care, enabling clinical staff to perform at the top of their license. We are looking for an experienced professional to work remotely from within the greater Baltimore metropolitan area. The incumbent will be expected to come into a CareFirst location periodically for meetings, training and/or other business-related activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working directly with patients and/or health plan members, demonstrating strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to navigate healthcare-related needs and resources.
