Position Overview

            Job Description Job Description JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:

Operates equipment to conduct studies by positioning patients for optimum scan efficiency.
As required during a procedure, assists positioning patients in required anatomical position for display of body for scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
Evaluate scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label. 
Moves equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors.
Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material and follows protocol for correct contrast use and storage.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
