Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support and maintenance of computer networks, hardware, software and related systems following industry best practices.
• Support LANs, WANs, Internet and Intranet systems.
• Collaborate with users to identify and resolve network issues.
• Conduct disaster recovery operations, protect data, software and hardware from attacks, and replace faulty network hardware when necessary.
• Analyse, isolate and troubleshoot network issues. Resolve performance problems such as availability, utilisation, throughput, goodput and latency.
• Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration and testing of network equipment; define policies and procedures; establish connections and firewalls.
• Evaluate and modify system performance; propose improvements to network infrastructure.
