Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer (Tier II) to support a contract with the Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Agency out of Manassas, VA. The Network Engineer (Tier II) will be responsible for supporting complex network environments, troubleshooting escalated issues and ensuring secure and efficient network operations. *This role requires an Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance for consideration. *

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer (Tier II):

·Provide Tier 2 support for network incidents and service requests

·Maintain and optimize Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls

·Administer and monitor Palo Alto Next-Gen Firewalls, including policy creation and threat prevention

·Configure and manage F5 Load Balancers for high availability and traffic optimization

·Set up and maintain VPNs (site-to-site and remote access) ensuring secure connectivity
