NURSE PRACTITIONER (PMHNP)

Job Title

Employee provide primary health care in a variety of clinic, shelter, school, and home situations, under the guidance of a supervising physician. Follows established protocols, as assigned, and manages specific health care outreach programs and the corresponding grant funding. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (KSAs)

Knowledge of: Principles, practices, and techniques of skilled nursing. Standard medical documentation practices. Medications and their possible side effects; regulations involving dispensing of medications. Communicable diseases; control, prevention, and proper reporting of such diseases. Educational practices and concerns relating to assigned area of responsibility (OB-GYN, STDs, etc.). Intake and triage procedures; patient interviewing and counseling techniques.
