Position Overview

The Biology Department seeks a qualified part-time instructor to teach sections of BIO 200 - Ecology and the Environment, a non-majors course for undergraduate students. 

BIO 200 – Ecology and the Environment introduces students to the study of ecology and evaluates how organisms interact with one another and their physical environment. Course topics focus on interactions that influence population dynamics, species distributions, community organization, and ecosystem processes. Human impacts on other organisms and the environment are also considered. Course topics are presented within an evolutionary framework, drawing on connections to human experience and other sub-disciplines of biology. Special emphasis is placed on critical evaluation of scientific information, the scientific method, and ecology as a scientific enterprise. Three hours per week.
