JOB DESCRIPTION:



  • The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing and baking pastries, desserts, and other baked goods under the guidance of the Pastry Chef.

  • They assist in maintaining a high standard of quality, ensuring the pastry section operates smoothly and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:



  • Measure, mix, and bake ingredients to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods.

  • Follow established recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef.
  • Ensure proper portioning and consistency of all products.
  • Maintain high standards of taste, texture, and presentation for all pastry items.
  • Check the freshness of ingredients and discard expired or substandard items.
  • Assist in managing inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies.
  • Communicate any shortages or equipment issues to the Pastry Chef.
