Position Overview

Position Overview

A peer-listener volunteer reaches out and connects directly with individuals across Canada that are going through a particularly challenging time with arthritis. This program provides an opportunity for individuals connecting to the Arthritis Line to then connect one-on-one with someone living with a similar arthritis experience. This program is intended to provide an opportunity for brief peer conversations and is not meant to be an ongoing or long-term support.

Time Commitment

Volunteers are asked to commit to approximately 5 hours per month, consisting of brief weekly check-ins to monitor the peer-listener inbox and supporting around 2 scheduled shifts (to be determined with program staff and based on your availability) for 2-4 peer-listener calls.

We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Occasional meetings, support sessions, and professional development sessions offered throughout the year.
