Certified Peer Support Specialist- OTP Clinic
The Peer Support Specialist provides vital support and advocacy for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, assisting with their transition from incarceration to community living. Utilizing lived experience with recovery and/or reentry, the Specialist offers emotional support, guidance, and resource connection to promote successful reintegration, reduce recidivism, and improve overall well-being. The Peer Support Specialist will coordinate with health service providers, the Clinical Case Manager, the discharge planner, and reentry staff to provide outreach, intake, and wrap-around services for individuals participating in the MAT program. The Peer Support Specialists should have experience with substance use and mental health. They must be trained in peer counseling, life skills, and the impact of reentry on individuals.
