Position Overview

What you will do

  • Guide Customers: Answer public enquiries regarding district plan rules, zoning, and resource consents.
  • Assess Applications: Review and process simple, non-notified resource consent applications and assess building consent applications against the district plan.
  • Manage Data: Maintain accurate electronic property records and planning databases.
  • Support the Team: Assist senior planners with site visits, public notifications, processing LIM applications, assessing certification applications and report preparation.

What you bring

  • Education: A qualification in urban planning, geography, environmental studies or local government experience would be an advantage but it not essential.
  • Attributes: Strong time management, attention to detail, practically minded with great reasoning skills and a collaborative team attitude.
