Basic Purpose
The Powder Coating Technician performs powder coating operations/applications and operates equipment. This includes participation in both design and production related topics and requires effective cross functional collaboration with other manufacturing departments, quality, and management.
Responsibilities
Ensures quality application of powder coatings to fabricated components. Prepares manufactured products for powder coating by blasting and chemically washing off products prior to powder coating. Assists moving carriages and carts in and out of spray booths. Cleans and maintains powder coating guns and equipment. Cleans booth thoroughly during each color change.
