Product Design Engineer

Summary

: Reporting to the Product Design Engineer Senior, the Product Design Engineer designs new products and/or develops product improvements based on Sales/Marketing functional specifications by applying engineering principles and Finite Element Analysis. The incumbent must be able to do machine design analysis for force, stress, and deflection of product components and understand the design of machine components such as rolling element bearings, bushings, cams, helical worm gear drives, and bolted joints/connections.

Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in SolidWorks 3-D design software or equivalent and experience performing Finite Element Analysis
