Insight Global is seeking a Senior Python Backend Engineer to support a client building complex, data‑driven applications. This role will focus on designing, extending, and stabilizing backend services that power analytics, optimization, and decision‑support systems in a cloud‑based production environment.
Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
Develop and consume REST APIs, integrating with internal and external platforms
Translate data science models and optimization logic into scalable backend services
Work within an existing codebase to enhance functionality, improve stability, and resolve issues
Collaborate closely with Data Science and Analytics teams
Ensure backend services are production‑ready, with proper error handling, logging, and performance awareness
Support deployments in AWS environments and work within existing CI/CD pipelines
