Position Overview

            Responsibilities  Conduct, witness of welding procedure and welder qualification tests including of the preparation of test pieces and destructive tests and verifying compliance with appropriate standards and specifications. 
Verification that adequate and valid welder approvals are available, and that only approved welders as required are used in production. 
Conduct visual and specific inspections in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and QA/QC procedures. 
Coordinate with QAQC Inspectors (Hull/Structure, DC and Piping) and NDT Coordinator, to verify and ensure that all finished welds are checked and accepted for all stages of the project, from material inspection through delivery. 
Ensure that quality assurance standards and procedures are maintained. 
Prepare and maintain inspection records, reports accordingly to the project specifications.
