Quality Assurance Composite Assembly Inspector

Responsibilities

• Assembly Inspection / Paint Inspection
  • Verify that inserts, components, etc. are installed as per drawing.
  • Visual inspection for improper coverage, rough surfaces, pitting.
  • Check for dust inclusions, orange peel, tears, sagging or blistering.
  • Inspect parts to planned MIDs and inspection documents, drawings, etc.
  • Record nonconformities and quarantine non-conforming parts with red tags.
  • Create and maintain inspection plans and procedures.
  • Participate and lead root cause and corrective action using Rapid 5 Whys, 8D tools, etc.
  • Perform First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.
  • Execute inspections per planned weekly and daily KPIs.
  • Guide assembly technicians by sharing requirements and acceptance criteria.
