Job Summary

The Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist (ROPS) will be responsible for conducting information trainings, outreach, providing naloxone specific trainings, and tracking naloxone distribution in various communities throughout Region 5 North 1 (Robertson County, Sumner County, Dickson County, and Humphreys County).

Job Responsibilities

• Provide training to community and professional groups, law enforcement, first responders, pharmacists, treatment providers, key stakeholders, and the general public on topics such as stigma reduction, effects of opioids on the brain, recognizing potential cases of substance use disorder, referrals to treatment programs, compassion fatigue and burnout, chronic pain management without opioids, signs and symptoms of overdose, and preventing overdose.
