Position Overview

As a Relief Cook, you'll prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that help residents stay healthy, feel valued and enjoy mealtimes that are often the highlight of their day. Working on an as-needed basis, you'll provide cover when required while helping maintain the high standards residents expect.

What you will do

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for residents
  • Follow menus and cater for dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Monitor food stocks and support stock rotation
  • Ensure meals are prepared and presented to a high standard
  • Support special events and celebrations through food preparation
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure residents' needs are met
